Aggressor Adventures is proud to recognize Jon Ayers of Colleyville, Texas as the 2025 Most Traveled Guest Award recipient. Jon’s journey into scuba diving—and his rapid rise to becoming one of our most dedicated guests—is a powerful reminder that adventure has no age limit.
Born in Fort Worth, Texas, and raised in a small town between Fort Worth and Dallas, Jon is an accomplished civil trial attorney who maintains an active law practice alongside his wife, Deanne. Outside the courtroom, however, Jon’s passion lies firmly in the natural world—both above and below the surface.
A Lifelong Love of Nature, A Newfound Passion for Diving

An avid outdoorsman for most of his life, Jon always felt drawn to the ocean. Although scuba diving had interested him since childhood, he didn’t earn his Open Water certification until late 2023—at the age of 61. Just months later, in January 2024, he embarked on his very first open water dive trip.
That experience changed everything.
What began as curiosity quickly became a passion. Jon set an ambitious goal for 2024 and 2025: one scuba diving trip per month. By October 2024, he discovered the liveaboard experience with Aggressor Adventures—and everything clicked.
“The Aggressor Adventures experience was perfect,” Jon says. “Amazing destinations, up to five dives a day, and a safe, comfortable environment—it’s exactly what I was looking for.”
Since then, Jon has earned multiple certifications, culminating in the PADI Master Scuba Diver designation. On every Aggressor trip he’s taken, he has also earned the coveted Iron Diver Award, a testament to his enthusiasm and commitment to diving.
A Rancher at Heart—On Land and Sea
When he’s not diving, Jon spends his time on his ranch, where he maintains a herd of bison and longhorn cattle. Staying active—whether on land or underwater—allows him to connect deeply with nature.
Jon has also developed a strong interest in underwater photography, using his camera to document his encounters with marine life and share the beauty of the ocean with friends and family on social media. His philosophy is simple: experience nature fully and embrace the adventure of travel.
Destinations Explored
In a remarkably short time, Jon has logged an impressive list of Aggressor Adventures destinations, including:
- Bahamas (twice)
- Cayman Islands (twice)
- Galapagos
- Turks & Caicos
- Belize
And he’s just getting started.

Most Traveled Guest Q&A with Jon Ayers
How long have you been traveling with Aggressor Adventures?
I began my first Aggressor trip in October 2024.
What brought you back to Aggressor Adventures so many times this year?
The people. The Aggressor captains and crew have ALL been absolutely outstanding. The emphasis is on safety and personal service. I believe Aggressor Adventures is unique in the dive industry in the professionalism which is provided. I do not believe any other company comes close. Every person I’ve dealt with—whether underwater, on the boat, or during shore adventures—has strived to provide an exceptional experience.
What was your favorite adventure you took with us this year?
Every adventure has been great. However, the Galapagos trip was amazing. To see wildlife in its natural habitat was unbelievable. Providing that level of service in such a harsh, remote location made it one of the best adventures of my life. I plan to take this trip again at my first opportunity.
How do you decide where to go next?
My next scheduled trip is a return to Tiger Beach in the Bahamas. Seeing and experiencing the sharks there cannot be adequately described with words. I loved my prior trip last May and anticipate making this an annual trip, health and time permitting.
How do you like solo traveling with Aggressor Adventures?
I’ve met amazing fellow passengers—many of whom have become permanent friends. I stay in touch with dozens on social media and have even taken subsequent trips with several of them. The crews have been incredible at accommodating me as a solo traveler. It truly feels like a big, happy family each week.
Do you shoot underwater photography or videography? What are your favorite subjects?
Yes—and I love sharks. I cannot get enough of sharks. Seeing whale sharks in the Galapagos was truly awe-inspiring. I’ve also photographed turtles, rays, and countless reef fish species. If someone wants to experience underwater wildlife, Aggressor Adventures is the only way to go.
Where do you plan to go next?
Back to Tiger Beach in the Bahamas!
A Well-Deserved Thank You
As a special thank you from Aggressor Adventures, Jon will receive a $1,000 travel voucher, a $150 Aggressor Boutique credit, and a Most Traveled Guest of 2025 plaque. We look forward to seeing him on another adventure soon.
